Role

Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Organization

Boyle Street Community Services

During my time as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Boyle Street Community Services, I was responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to elevate brand awareness and engagement.

I rebuilt and managed the organization’s website, ensuring a user-friendly design, and created campaign pages and micro-sites to support various initiatives. I also conducted SEO and SEM research to improve the organization's online presence.

I managed social media channels and created engaging content for platforms like Facebook, Twitter (X), Instagram, and LinkedIn, while monitoring audience engagement and online reputation. Additionally, I contributed to large- and small-scale event planning, including pop-up events, and represented the organization through public speaking and site tours.

Through cost-effective digital and print campaigns, I helped elevate the brand while maintaining its vision, mission, and voice. I developed copy and design for email campaigns, social media, and the organizational blog, providing valuable insights for donors. I also managed multiple projects to meet tight deadlines and prepared reports on marketing activities for senior leadership.

This role gave me the opportunity to combine creativity with strategy, ensuring that all marketing efforts were aligned with the organization’s goals and community impact.

Treaty 6 and Métis Region 4

I acknowledge the Traditional Lands on which I work and live as the traditional meeting grounds, gathering place and travelling route of many Indigenous communities, including the Nehiyaw (Cree), Denesuliné (Dene), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Anishinaabe (Saulteaux) and Niitsitapi (Blackfoot). As a settler, I recognize and give thanks to Indigenous Peoples past and present who have protected and sustained this sacred land that we share and call home.
