I acknowledge the Traditional Lands on which I work and live as the traditional meeting grounds, gathering place and travelling route of many Indigenous communities, including the Nehiyaw (Cree), Denesuliné (Dene), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Anishinaabe (Saulteaux) and Niitsitapi (Blackfoot). As a settler, I recognize and give thanks to Indigenous Peoples past and present who have protected and sustained this sacred land that we share and call home.
